A LITTLE HOUSEWARMING FOR OUR NEIGHBOURS

We'd been open for a little while, but it didn't feel right to let that happen without a proper celebration.

So we threw a party.

The shop was full, the drinks were flowing, friends old and new came through the door, and we got to spend an afternoon with so many of the people who have supported Neighbour from the very beginning.

More than anything, it was our chance to say thank you.

Thank you for buying the coffee, trying things on, telling your friends, popping in for a chat, following along online and backing our slightly crazy idea of turning this little old shop in Laura into something of our own.

And because we apparently don't know how to sit still, the party also gave us the chance to share a little more of what's next for Neighbour.

We opened up our new outdoor space — somewhere to bring the kids, meet a friend, drink your coffee and stay a little longer — and introduced our growing sweet treats menu, with plenty of very good things from our baking neighbours.

It felt like the perfect way to launch this next little chapter.

Neighbour was never meant to be just a shop. We want it to be somewhere people gather, where things happen, where local makers and businesses are celebrated, and where there's always a reason to stick around for another five minutes.

To everyone who came along, and everyone who's been part of Neighbour so far — thanks for being our Neighbours.
